Based on a guideline for spiritual growth from a poet of the Spanish-Jewish diaspora a thousand years ago, Fountain is a fanciful contemporary commentary on Sources. The book is divided into six phases: Silence, Listening, Remembering, Practicing, Teaching, and Gratitude. The writer is a poet and rabbi playing with voices and languages that reflect a movement toward inter-culturalism and creativity based on antecedents -- our teachers, influences, and inspirations -- what they have left us, how we might honor them, how they have taught us.
