Beskrivelse
Henry Oliver (1903-1991) was a minister, educator, author, dog lover, and singer. His character was shaped in his early years in Stewart County, TN. He turned down an appointment at West Point because that was not God's calling on his life. Thirty-five years in public education included being principal at East High during World War II and being the last superintendent of Nashville City Schools. After leaving public education, Mr. Oliver taught at Belmont University and Free Will Baptist Bible College. Pictures in each chapter enhance the book. He was faithful until death and "The Afterglow" he left still inspires many whose life he touched. This is a rewrite of the original book (c. 1977).
