Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. (John 14:19, KJV)
Jesus spoke these words to His apostles on the night that He was betrayed. The definition of the Greek word used for "world" here is "inhabitants of the earth." Jesus would be crucified within hours of making this statement. He would be gone for a short time and come back for forty days. This would be the "little while."
Jesus' apostles asked Him for signs of His great advent because they knew He was not coming back to this world. He told them that they would not have gone throughout all the towns of Israel before His great advent.
In AD 70 the Roman soldiers were catapulting stones over the temple wall onto the Jews. As this was occurring the Jews were shouting "The Son comes!" Jesus told His apostles that not one jot or tittle shall pass from the law until all be fulfilled. Well, if all has not been fulfilled, then the law is still in place, and that which is perfect, the New Covenant, has not yet become reality. Wake up, sheeple!!! All was fulfilled in AD 70.
