Flatland

Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions is a classic satirical novella written by Edwin A. Abbott and published in 1884. The book uses a two-dimensional world to comment on Victorian culture and it has been the inspiration of many movies. Edwin A. Abbott was an English schoolmaster and theologian who was educated at St. John's College in Cambridge where he excelled at classics and mathematics. Abbott wrote many books on many different subjects but is best remembered for Flatland.
