The Dark Lord threatens to control the southern continent. Will Caz and Fenwick be strong enough to stop this, or die trying? The latest entry in the award-winning FitzDuncan series begins as Fenwick and Caz answer the plea for assistance from the southern continent. They leave behind their pregnant wives and set sail in the teeth of winter weather with the men of Aquileia's Castle Shield. When they arrive, they learn that a dark mage has enslaved an entire country. An army of thralls is advancing steadily.



Before they can join battle, mystical instructions divert Fenwick and Caz on a dangerous journey through hostile territory. Waiting for them is a powerful religious artifact, but also a command that they must go alone to eliminate the dark mage who is directing the expanding shadow of evil. Caz finds himself in the fight of his life--a contest he is losing until help arrives from an unexpected ally. Thus begins FitzDuncan's Peril, but before the book concludes, a new narrator must take up the story.



Is this the end for Caz and Fenwick? Do they succeed in eliminating evil, or open a portal for it to spread throughout the world?
