After a year of combat in Europe, George Dumas came home as a dishonored soldier, having accidentally killed his commanding officer. Alienated by his own family, George was invited to stay with Tom Borer, the man whom he saved on a snowy day at the Battle of the Bulge. Life was going well in a small town near Kansas until George saw a beautiful girl selling movie tickets at the town theater and his life changed forever.
