Beskrivelse
Raised on a farm in south western France, Daniel Ezzard and his brother David learn to fly an early version of a glider. After just a few flights though, they hear the news, that war is on the horizon, with Germany. Daniel joins the newly formed French Air Service, under Charles LaRosa, and soon finds himself as a pilot of and observation plane, at the start of World War 1. Eventually Daniel, gets to fly one of the early single seater fighters. Until now, air-planes had not been around, and this was their first time going to war with one. There was no training, or rules, of any kind of how to pit one plane against the other. All moves and methods they would have to figure out on their own. On his way to becoming an Ace, Daniel finds himself injured, alone and on the ground, with his wrecked airplane, miles behind the German trenches. Later caught, he must now survive a Prisoner of War Camp.
