'Fire Escape'
Urban and Rural: Images and Poems, are the result of a joint collaboration between long term friends, Brady Kent (Poems) and John Ashton (Images)
This is the second book in the series.
Seen by some as dirty and ugly, the urban images are also graphic, geometric, stark, haunting and beautiful.
By contrast, the rural scenes are very different to the 'chocolate box images' we often see. Much of nature is old, decrepit, redundant and abandoned.
Each image seems to have a different story to tell, way beyond what we normally expect.
'Gotham City' is a surprise, whilst 'Empty Offices' explores an everyday issue. In 'Last of the snow' we read about a crime passionnel and an old lady who 'no longer wanted to live and cry'
