This is the second book on the early life of Finn Mac Cumhaill. It has taken me five long years to write these two books and although it was a long process, I have enjoyed every minute researching the old Irish legends of which I regret to say I had only heard of a few. There are hundreds of legends and tales that have been handed down by word of mouth through the Seanchaidhe for millenia. Sadly, today if you asked the current generation of Irish people who Finn MacCumhaill was, a blank face is the answer you will receive all too often. It is a shame that we are losing this core Celtic soul that makes Irish people in all four corners of our Island and beyond what we are. We come from a rich vibrant celtic past which defines what the Irish people are, and it is something we should never lose. These books although primarily works of fiction are based on the ephemeral legends that define who Finn Mac Cumhaill was. I am merely trying to strip back the legend to find what in my humble opinion is what Finn may have been really like. There is of course still a little magic in the story of his life, but I have molded it to be a physical kind of magic. This second book brings Finn to the point in his life where he finds his legacy and accepts who he is and the responsibilities that come with that legacy. This second book is the end of the beginning of Finns life and there are many more stories to be written. I hope you enjoy reading these books as much as I have enjoyed wrting them Damien Coffey
