About the Author:
Carolyn Julia "CJ" Snow was inspired toward medicine first by her beloved grandfather, a small-town physician. She graduated first as a paramedic in 1980 and then obtained her Bachelor's in Nursing in 1988. CJ's love of Critical Care Medicine kept her working in Emergency Departments, Intensive Care Units, and in Critical Care Transport as a Flight Nurse, maintaining dual national board certifications in Emergency and Intensive Care Nursing (C.E.N. and C.C.R.N.) for over three decades. With her experience in various leadership roles, at the bedside in world-class hospitals, and as an educator in her specialties, she brings a perspective that straddles many points of view. Triumphs and hardships have all been her teachers, but it is her tireless desire to hone her clinical expertise and personal life skills that make her a natural innovator, leader, and visionary with an authentic, motivating voice.
