On the 17th October 2017 my 15 year old son Kyron Webb was fatally stabbed in an unprovoked attack on Worsley Avenue in Manchester. Kyron sustained a fatal stab wound to the heart, which caused him to experience two cardiac arrests. Kyron was pronounced brain dead October 20th 2017.This book is about creating awareness around the devastating impact which knife crime and murder has on families, friends, loved ones and the wider community. Through the finding of the Phoenix volumes we will explore the many causes that contribute to the rise in youth violence as well as delve into the emotional impact and roller coaster journey we surviving victims have to endure. Lastly we will explore potential solutions that we as an entire society can implement collectively to help reduce the blood spills and those painful cries that only a bereaved parent can cry.By sharing my experiences I aim to offer help and support to others affected by murder and loss. I share my story, feelings, views and emotions in a truthful and transparent way. My words challenge those difficult thoughts, the loss, the highs, the addictions, grief and the need to find joy, stand, rise and heal. The finding the phoenix series is a 5 book volume set, and through reading it you will see that the road to healing and forgiveness of others and yourself does not follow a linear pattern. Sometimes you feel you have finally overcome; then a wave comes to knock you right back to the beginning. This is my journey to how I found my Phoenix. My aim is to seek options and potential solutions to tackle this rising epidemic, by exploring young people's support needs along with the plethora of factors that contributed to the rise in street violence and death. Through my writing I aim to create a support system to the families of victims and perpetrators, who overnight graduated into the world of murder. This world is dark, lonely and isolating. Together let's create a pathway of light, hope and unity as we rise up against knife brutality.
