Matti James is hired by a joint American/British task force to create media-ready facial reconstructions from the recently recovered remains of three WWII Allied soldiers. Dog tags found at the burial site may not belong to the individuals. No U.S. records exist for the service numbers, and the names are not on any MIA list. Secrecy surrounds this case, and in more ways than one, Matti must learn who to trust. As she works, she vows to find answers. Who were these soldiers? Why had they been shot execution style and placed a common, shallow grave-not on mainland Europe but in Oxfordshire, England?
