Final Year
Graduation can be killer...
Beth pushes beyond her comfort zone to prove a sociology thesis. She turns a chance meeting with a known player into a personal experiment on first impressions. Weaving herself into casual meetings with the guy reinforces her assumptions... until she's no longer the one pursuing him.
Jeremy's only serious relationship is with his studies as he competes for the coveted post-grad theoretical chem spot with Dr. Young. When the campus goes into lockdown and everyone is evacuated to the stadium, his habit of "fun only" friendships turns into a curse.
Can he trust a skittish girl he's known for ten days to help him find his not-so-theoretical chem project or will her assumptions about him keep her at arm's length?
Final Year - a fast-paced romantic suspense that keeps you guessing at every turn.

Five Stars!
Final Year by MJ Moores is a thrilling sci-fi romance novel that begins with a bomb threat and all of the students on campus being herded into the football stadium. The police are directing the flow of student traffic while the bomb squad is searching high and low for any trace of where the threat might occur. Graduate student Jeremy, disabled and diabetic, has recruited Beth to help him track down his science project: a formula for a fuel alternative that his rival Wayne has stolen and turned its contents into a bomb that has been somehow activated. But first Beth has to help Jeremy get to the pharmacy to get his medicine just so he can function. They continue with the race against time, avoiding the police as they sift through the clues of where Wayne would be hiding the vial so that Jeremy can disarm it.
Moores does an awesome job of moving this fast-paced story along. Her characters are well developed. Telling the story through Beth's eyes and thoughts allows the reader to experience the trepidation of a budding relationship. The writing style painted vivid images (spoiler removed). It doesn't take very long for the race against time to have our heroes traipsing all over the campus with buildings that are connected by shared basements, and climbing through windows. Moores did an outstanding job of telling this page-turning adventure with an unexpected climax that is a well-designed surprise. I was entertained on all levels with Final Year and will be looking for more works from the talented MJ Moores. Brava!
