Filmer's spiders

This is a new edition of Martin Filmer's long-standing guide to southern African spiders. The book has been fully updated by Norman Larsen and now covers all 69 spider families found in the region. Spiders are grouped according to web type to aid identification, and each family is described in terms of the spiders' lifestyle, habitat, size, behaviour and poison potential. Recommended treatment in the event of poisonous-spider bites is also discussed.
