Shannon lives in a town where nothing happens. He lives on a farm where he is content with everything. He's never mad at the world and has great grades and always makes the neighborhood of less than seven hundred smile. Shannon doesn't see anything negative. Not until his friends start to drift, his first love betrays him, and tragedy strikes like a hurricane that everyone scurries over. He begins to feel ashamed of his naivety and ashamed of himself. He saw everything as wonderful and saw the little things in life. Now the biggest hurricane brewed inside of him, and he doesn't know what to do. He gets screeched at if he's any different, and he's different if he's not saying anything. The only thing he knows what is going on, is the fact he is changing, while everyone around him remains the same. And it will take time for that to process, but he knows it's the only thing that makes sense in the town of Sunning.
