Beskrivelse
Female genital mutilation and forced marriage of minors are issues that we have not had to deal with in the western world - until 2015. The refugee crisis has shown us that these problem areas now also play a role in our society. A court ruling on the issue of "child marriages" has triggered a heated debate in Germany and prompted a legal rethink. In order to protect young women from these human rights violations in the future, Germany and Austria must find a suitable way forward in terms of criminal law, civil law and asylum law. This book shows the legal development of both countries with regard to "genital mutilation" and "forced marriage of minors" and takes a closer look at the differences.
