Beskrivelse
Live the extraordinary adventure of the gold rush, to span the gorges of the Klondike, to face the rapids of the Yukon, to spend months in solitude and silence to pan with bare hands in icy waters and to sleep, camping in the open near a fire, for fear of bears. On horseback, between the XIX and the XX centuries, it was the destiny of thousands of men disposed to do everything in order to achieve their dream of wealth. Felice Pedroni, later known as Felix Pedro, was one of these legendary seekers. An introvert mountaineer that in 1881 left the Modena Apennines (Italy) to seek a better life in America, and in 1905 he returns to Trignano di Fanano to get married, with a belt full of gold nuggets instead of bullets. The world seems to be at his feet, and the future too. But like the gold vein, sooner or later it runs out...On the trail of this hero of the past, two mystery lovers fascinated by the life of Felix Pedro and curious about the obscure circumstances which envelop his death, willfully undertake obstinate research and an astounding investigation (even exhuming the body) to reconstruct an impressive story of great allure, an epic and, at the same time profoundly human.
