Catalyzed by her notoriously dirty, fabulously successful bestseller Valley of the Dolls, the Jackie Susann Sixties brimmed with camp comedy that now permeates contemporary celebrations of the author, from Pee-wee's Playhouse to RuPaul's Drag Race and Lee Daniels's Star.
