Fear Not Thine Image

Strange things start to happen when LAPD detective Tony Lake investigates a missing person case and stumbles into an abyss so dark and tormenting that he questions his own sanity. His closest friend and partner is a witness to his tragic death, and that is the beginning of a diabolical plot hatched by Disappearing, Inc., an underground organization that causes notorious criminals to disappear off the face of the earth. His partner, his wife and son, those closest to him, all believe he is dead, and he has no means of convincing them otherwise. Worse than having his identity stolen, his identity has been physically altered to the image of a serial killer. His fingerprints, his face, his body are a dead ringer for the man he has been hunting. Terrified and alone, he is now being hunted for murder by those in his department he served beside months earlier. Tony is left with the seemingly impossible task of trying to prove he is not the killer they are after. In the height of despair, there is one stranger who can save him, but he must convince her of something so unbelievable that his best friend and partner refused to believe.
