Fathoms

In a world where dry land is a myth, a tale passed down through generations, two headstrong teenagers are pulled together by the tides of fate. Ren, a young, arrogant pirate boy with a secret, finds himself at war with his inner self. Taunted by Kalo, a boat-born boy, for being a 'civvi'; stealing; pillaging; is being a pirate really his destiny? Is this the life he wants to live? Ayla, an ordinary teenager living on one of the thousands of vessels which call the ocean home, feels trapped in her tediously simple farm life. The only way to escape her arranged engagement to a rich boy from a nearby vessel is to take to the water and swim for her freedom. One tiny change in the flow of the tides of destiny will not only change their present, but also the future of the world. The never ending oceans are becoming more violent. Their only chance to survive the turbulent waters ahead is to put their life in the other's hand, and trust with all of their heart. The question is: can they really trust each other?
