Family, Secrets, and Murder

Family is the most important thing in the world. So, what happens if you suspect they're guilty of a heinous crime? Ivy Morris is about to find out.

When the plucky private investigator is called home to help with a family emergency, she takes her trusty assistant, Zasha Ross, with her. Fresh off a highly publicized murder case that sees the investigators' star on the rise, Ivy must deal with old wounds when her aunt asks her to help out with a situation.

The Morris family has a spotless reputation, but that doesn't mean there aren't skeletons in the closet. Ivy knows this better than most and thinks she knows exactly where all the secrets are hidden. Unfortunately, she's been gone a long time and things have changed. Her younger cousin, Elaine is married to the famous oil baron, Thomas Carlton, and is expecting her first child. What should be an idyllic situation is ruined when a body is found on their property after a vicious storm.

To make matters worse, the body belongs to a well-known figure from Thomas' dark past. The victim is none other than the best friend of Thomas' first wife who died under suspicious circumstances. Ivy and Zasha are tasked with discreetly finding out who killed the woman. It quickly becomes apparent that the Carltons aren't as perfect as they pretend. Disturbing revelations threaten to come to light, and someone is willing to kill to prevent that from happening.

Will Ivy be able to choose between justice and her family? Or is the choice already out of her hands?
