Lila's role in the Shadow pack is something she is grateful for. The little library in the Alpha's home is coming along nicely and her research on the Shifter's origin is fascinating. In addition, Lincoln has asked her to document her journey, as well as the other six women who had been rescued with her.
Between her work and helping the newly rescued adjust, she has a good life. All of the others finding mates leaves Lila the only one to need the drug in the future, so she has years before she has to worry about reverting to human.
A sudden illness worries Lila, as well as her friends. Shifters don't get sick, yet there's no denying she is not well. Is the drug wearing off too soon? Is her Human side finally winning, or is it something else altogether?
