As in other continents, family businesses are very numerous in Africa. They even constitute the majority of businesses in all the economies of the world. However, little is known about how this type of business operates, how it is organised and how it is governed. Family businesses play a key role in the economic fabric, the dynamics of investment and job creation.This book is the result of research aimed at analysing the particularities of family businesses in the global context and at dissecting the changes, evolutions, ruptures and innovations.
