Fall From Grace

My heart has been ripped from my chest. God, my father, is dead. And this world I'd once cherished burns at my feet. Even the most faithful angels can fall.



I should have known better. I should have paid more attention. You would think that after living for so long I would have seen the signs. Seen the signs that my world was about to crash down around me. Did I confuse lust for love? Was I so blinded by my own desires that I thought what I'd found was worth giving up everything for?

The answers to those questions were staring me in the face.

One strike and the rose-colored glass shattered. My world forever turned into a darkness of my own creation. No longer shrouded in the light of my father's once gracious kingdom.

Now, all I could do was sit here while this world burned at my feet. There would never be a heaven for me, but I was content here with the fires of hell warming my skin.

They would never see me as weak again.
