As an 1840s Boston socialite, Cordelia Endicott's life is full of dreams for a bright future. But in the twinkling of heaven's eye, her world changes dramatically when she meets Redmond, a handsome Irishman. Eloping after a whirlwind courtship and romance, the star-crossed lovers are heartbreakingly ripped apart by unseen forces at work.
