Paul Turk, a former trial attorney, practiced law for thirty years until he changed careers at the age of fifty-four to pursue a long-time ambition of authoring Christian-based legal novels. The legal plot involved in the novel concerns a felony DUI trial as well as a civil lawsuit surrounding the auto crash.
