Homicide Detective Blue Black Beauvais has several suspects in Belle Terre Plantation, all belonging to one of the most influential families in Louisiana and the USA. Exquisite Celeste has been beaten and raped, Bettina Townsend-St. Clair shot to death. Billy Bob Townsend, son of a prominent New Orleans family of attorneys and Bettina's husband was found shot at the murder scene.
