In A Faint Heart, Dostoevsky tells the story of a young man named Ivan who is conflicted with his love for two women. Ivan is torn between his feelings for his fiancee, who is gentle and loving, and his passion for a woman who is dark and exciting. Ivan eventually decides to pursue his darker desires, but quickly realizes that he is not happy with this choice.
