Factory Lights

In his third collection of poetry, Fidel Martinez delves into the lackluster experiences of the everyday man. Whether it is the struggle and gradual effacement experienced by blue collar workers, embittered heroes from Greek myths set in modern contexts, and the inextricable blend of technology and humanity, these poems deal with the gradual embitterment (at times tender, at others raw and jarring) that comes with growing older and finding yourself, increasingly, a stranger in world that shifts but rarely changes.
