The question of whether we are alone in the universe - has been settled. Nearly twenty seven years ago earth is shaken by the knowledge that other species, many other species do exist. After two Valcarian slave vessels crash on our planet the alien refugees are displaced. The brutal war that ensues eventually comes to a close but new agencies had to be created to deal with the Worlders left behind. That's where Ren Collie comes in. She's a Task Force agent, and a half breed - it's her job to keep a lid on the crazy. After several Delegates are murdered in the Kor territory where she is assigned she and her TFA partner become embroiled in the investigation. She has no way to know what will be revealed as they follow the trail of the murderer; nor has she fully realized the ramifications of the outcome.
