Exorcism Prayers

The terms exorcism, hiding or concealment (in Greek: exorkismos, "act of swearing", in Latin: exorcismu) designate the ritual performed by a person duly authorized to cast out evil spirits (or demons) from another person who is in a state of demonic possession. It can also designate the act of expelling demons through prayers and hiding (imprecations). In Christianity, the Gospel often reports episodes in which Jesus Christ casts out the demon from possessed people, this power having been transmitted to his apostles on the day of Ascension, however the practice or similar practices are quite ancient and are part of the belief system of many cultures and religions.Jesus Christ was already telling his disciples about exorcism: "And these signs shall follow those who believe: In my name they shall cast out demons; they shall speak new tongues;"They shall take up the serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall do them no harm; and they shall lay their hands upon the sick, and heal them. ". (Mark 16:17,18
