Where do ghosts go when they disappear from view? Do they know they are dead? Are they only on Earth to fulfil some greater purpose? Down-to-earth stone mason John Townsend had never considered these questions until he met the ghost of Penny Peverell, whilst renovating an Elizabethan mansion.
