EVER AFTER

In the 1930s and '40s, winters on the mighty St. Lawrence River were cold - so cold that the waters froze solid and "the black ice was crystal clear . . . you could see the fish swimming beneath it." In this tender and often candid look at growing up in the north country of Upstate New York, a young girl recalls her friends, family, and the many hopes, dreams and challenges that shaped her future life as an artist.
