Altzia explodes into war! With the loss of miracles in the world, the Kingdom of Batherath and the Empire begin a violent power struggle. Cain, swearing terrible vengeance against Alyx Bronzewing for the Death of Luvia, leads the royalist army of Batherath. Alyx Bronzewing is left with no choice but to find allies to help him not only survive, but to help accomplish his ultimate goal: Killing the Queen of Avarice.
Meanwhile Ruby has to struggle with the existential realisation that not only was her god just another child of the Dragon Queen, but that Ruby herself is at least partially responsible for her death.
