Even Barracudas Need a Home is the story of Bobby the Barracuda, who leaves his family and journeys to the edge of his world, the Caribbean Reef. He begins an unusual relationship with Gavin the Grouper, a fish that would normally be food for Bobby. Bobby and Gavin travel together and form an alliance with Christian, a blue crab, and Patsy, a pelican. The four friends work together to find Christian a new home in a split-level conch shell.The new friends learn how to rely on each other, how to take care of themselves, and how what they do affects their surroundings.
