Beskrivelse
This book , third in the series, attempts to examine the role of biotechnology in mitigating the suffering of rural peasantry, especially small and marginal landholders of dryland agriculture. Making a critical assessment of AgNet Project and the improvements that can be incorporated in similar type of lab-to-land initiatives, it documents the ideation and execution mechanisms of selected technology and assesses its social impact on the livelihoods of rural peasants. It also examines the possibility of upscaling transferred technology and suggests policy measures for sustainable livelihoods through biotechnology.
