Beskrivelse

Jordanian-born Palestinian family Hassan and his wife Sana suffer great turmoil. As children, their parents moved them from Amman, Jordan to Palestine to escape the civil war and with hopes of gaining three national citizenships to eventually move to the United States. Hassan and Sana witnessed much in their three decades in Khan-Yunis, Palestine. They witnessed both intense hatred of Israel and brutal Palestinian oppression. Torture, bombings, retaliation, war, and unimaginable violence was a normal Monday for the Hassan family. Contrary to popular belief, Palestine is not a Muslim-only nation. There are Christians, Muslims, Druzism, Protestants, Catholics and even Jewish people living there.

Because of their golden brown skin and semitic Arab appearance, Hassan and Sana were often accused of being Muslims and members of Hamas. They are actually Catholic and were both school teachers. However, they had no idea that Hammas was planning one of Israel's greatest retaliations that would lead to a colossal attempt at ethnic cleansing. The world is currently experiencing five major wars; Russia/Ukraine, Sudan/South Sudan, Myanmar civil war, Ethiopia/Eritrea, and Israel/Palestine. However, it is the Israel/Palestine war that has escalated with the greatest civilian deaths and casualties in such a short period of time. How does Hassan and Sana cope? How do they escape this war?
