Beskrivelse
This book contains ten of the more than 200 folktales assembled in the early 1800s by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, delightfully told by Martina Samp, a talented native German language teacher. Each story contains a Quick Response Code (QR Code), which can be easily scanned by a smartphone to listen to Mrs. Samp recite the story. This provides an excellent way to hear the sound and rhythm of the language while reading the words.
TEACHERSThe folktale medium presents the stories in a predictable way while exposing students to differences between German and English sentence structure. The second half of the book contains a series of questions and answers from the text, along with assignments in grammar and word construction. Teachers can use this section to develop homework assignments and lesson plans.
INTERMEDIATE SELF-STUDY GERMAN LANGUAGE STUDENTSReading, listening, and testing are three essential pillars of learning a language, but learning becomes tedious when the material is too complicated. These folk tales present the language through well-known stories, which facilitates grasping the meaning of each tale while learning vocabulary and word structure. The annunciator is crystal clear in her pronunciation and proceeds at a moderate pace, which is ideal for either intermediate or advanced students.
