Beskrivelse
Charles-Simon Favart was one of the most important playwrights of the French Enlightenment, and 'Les Trois Sultanes' is one of his most popular works. This comedy, set in the Ottoman Empire, tells the story of a love triangle between the sultan Soliman II and three of his wives. With its lively dialogue, memorable characters, and lush Orientalist setting, this play is a delightful example of French rococo theatre.
