It is a critical biography of the life of the scholar Wu Mi and comprehensively describes his experience of studies and scholarship. Wu Mi came from a cultural family in Shaanxi Province. Hence, he has received quality education since childhood, studied in the United States and traveled to Western Europe. Wu Mi taught Western literature in a foreign language but loved ancient Chinese poetry. He also participated in the preparation and founding of the Tsinghua Academy of Chinese Learning as well as journal Critical Review. He also had a lot of unique opinions in the study of 'Red ology'.
