Un voluntario realista is the eigth novel in the second series of Episodios Nacionales by Benito P rez Gald s. After leaving Madrid, the narrator ends up at the convent of Saint Solomon, whom of a young man raised by nuns in a house of faith. His adventures hold in store a great deal of tragedy, ending with death at the hands of royal troops. This novel introduces the origins of Carlism.
