El terror de 1824 is the seventh novel of the second series of Episodios Nacionales by Benito P rez Gald s. Following the triumph of absolutism came the period known as the Liberal Triennium and with it the repressive era of King Ferdinand VII. This story has two key characters, a liberal teacher and an orphaned girl, both of whom end up involved in a conspiracy. The author's style helps create a spirited defense of freedom.
