Entangled Soul

Are we really in control of our own lives and destiny? On the surface we might believe the answer to that question depends on the country we live in or our social status. Or, perhaps control of our destiny is an illusion for all but a handful of the world's population. Could this be true regardless of whether we are a leader of a country or so independently wealthy we believe ourselves immune to the vagaries of the economy or disasters of various kinds? Those who study the cosmos are constantly learning that the universe is stranger and more complex than we would have conceived a decade ago. We are learning that the quantum and the macro are engaged in a partnership that is vastly different from our human perception. It is popular to say that perception is reality. However, the truth is that in the vastness of our universe human perception bears no resemblance to reality. Perhaps we live in a world filled with deliberate illusion compounded by misperception. The illusion may be created by a few families that let most of us, at all social strata, believe we have at least some potential control over our own destinies. The human misperception of our natural universe is shared by all. At some point does this blend of illusion and ignorance serve to create a disaster beyond comprehension? Entangled Soul explores these questions in a novel set one hundred thousand years in the future when humans have populated our entire galaxy. The situation the heroes of this story encounter on a galactic scale reflects on our lives today, and the systems we have created to sustain those lives, on a planetary scale. The disaster they must grapple with requires the cooperation of political, economic, religious and scientific leaders. They learn over the course of days that the root cause of the disaster they are facing was created on ancient Earth in the time when the horse was the fastest means of transportation.
