English Foreign Policy 1066 - 1485

This book will cover the period from the Norman conquest to the death of the last Plantagenet king, Richard III at Bosworth Field in August 1485. Foreign policy in the Middle Ages was similar but not exactly the same as it is now, with monarchies and even religion had a great deal of influence upon the relationship between states. These influences will be discussed, as will England's relations with Ireland, Scotland and Wales, which were a mixture of domestic and foreign policy.
