The purpose of this book is to provide a broad background of several aspects of basic sciences, clinical, therapeutic aspects, and management of endometrial cancer. It provides state-of-the-art information on the molecular genetics, biology, and clinical aspects of premalignant lesions of the endometrium and endometrial cancer. Also, the book chapters provide better understanding of the molecular and cellular events that underlie endometrial cancer. The descriptive and analytical epidemiology of endometrial cancer are presented in Chapter 1. The pathology and molecular diagnosis of endometrial cancer are discussed in Chapter 2. The molecular pathology of endometrial cancer is detailed in Chapter 3. The hereditary aspect of endometrial cancer is highlighted in Chapter 4. Precancerous lesions of the endometrium are reviewed in detail in Chapter 5. Endometrial biomarkers are detailed in Chapter 6. Lymphatic mapping of endometrial cancer is discussed in Chapter 7. Sentinel lymph nodes in endometrial cancer are highlighted in Chapter 8. The current strategies and approaches to treat patients with endometrial cancer are detailed in Chapter 9.
