There are some species in this world that are endangered or have become extinct due to poachers and the changing of the environment; this is the same for shapeshifters.
Nikita Bowen is an endangered animal specialist; she mostly deals with shapeshifters that are endangered, but has helped with a handful of pure animals. She has a mission in India where she was told some white tigers were spotted; whether they are shifters or not, didn't matter to her. She ends up getting stuck in the jungles of India after being attacked by a lion; she encounters the white tiger there, but he doesn't seem to eager to be around her or any human for that matter.
After being rescued and returning to civilization, the tiger that she had met in the jungle had been brought into the hospital in human form; she makes a bold move and brings him back to Canada with her. Little does she know, this tiger has a target on his back and she just got herself stuck in his game of cat and mouse.
