During the seventeenth century, the Mughal Empire dominated northern and central India, contending with endless battles against various kingdoms. During this tumultuous era, Shivaji was born with a profound sense of awareness and a fervent desire for independence. Determined to challenge Mughal supremacy, he rose to become Chhatrapati Shivaji, laying the foundations of the Maratha Empire.
