EMERGENT LITERACY VILLAGE: (A CHRISTIAN THEMATIC CURRICULUM) Pre-KINDERGARTEN

Countless research show that the basic premise for the thematic unit approach is that, the more often a child sees or hears about a concept, the more apt they are to learn or remember that concept.

The Curriculum is a high quality, comprehensive Christian curriculum that is based on a compilation of many years of research in the area of early care and learning. It uses Bible verses, Christian Principles/Character Education, nursery rhymes, Writer's Workshop, Small Group Reading Instruction, Site Word Identification, Art, Music, web-based programs and common themes that young students need to know in order to learn and develop accordingly, and compete in today's global society.

It presents a balanced program where themes are seen across the board. It will aid students in the acquiring, recollection, and the retention of information about items covered in the unit.

The Curriculum also offers, Monthly Themes/Ideas, Class Schedule, Lesson Plan Format, Assessment, Sight Words List, Short Vowel Words, Long Vowel Words, Rhyming Words, Nursery Rhymes Booklet, Supplemental Ideas/Materials- (Alphabet Cards/Alphabet Books/Language Arts CD).
