This book is a continuation of The Chocolate Set. It continues Klara's journey from Sweden to America by showing some of her experiences on her way to Canton, South Dakota and beyond. Her marriage and adventures with homesteading on the Perkins County prairie make up the remainder of the novel. The book is illustrated with line drawings by the author.
