Elements of Worship was created to introduce a broader definition and practice of Worship than is traditionally understood within Christianity. As we journey through the pages of this book, we will be looking at eleven different expressions of worship found within the pages of the Bible. They are: CELEBRATION: Worshiping the Lord through the lifting of voices in honor and praise through spoken word and song. PRAYER: Communication with the Heavenly Father from a heart filled with adoration, gratitude, and praise. EVANGELISM: A form of worship through expressing to others the impact the Gospel message has had on our lives. DISCIPLESHIP: Helping another Christ-follower grow in their knowledge and practice of God's Word, grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and other Christ followers, and grow mature in their understanding and ability to holistically worship God. COMMUNION: The Lord's Supper is an act of worship though the commemoration of the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ upon the cross, delivering us from sin & death. It acts as a reminder, a call to unity, a time to self-examine, a look to the future, and a proclamation to those around us of the amazing Messiah we serve STEWARDSHIP: An act of worship through the generosity of finances that reveals the heart behind celebration. When we rise to the challenge and devote our checkbook to God along with the rest of our lives, we begin to worship with a kingdom mindset, understanding that everything we have is His. SCRIPTURE: An essential part of worship that reveals what God wants from His followers. As one immerses themselves within it, they grow deeper in love with Jesus and begin to look more like Jesus.
